We used to be fiber….
You know, like fiber optics,
Sharing data between each other almost at infinite amounts and speed.
Indiscriminate at what comes and goes because our processes were coded in love, dressed in the concept “believe.”
Now we’re lagging and programs don’t load the same anymore.
Someone’s been pulling at our cables replacing light speed with sound speed,
Glitches happen often and then there’s all the forced shut downs.
Temporary loss of all communication.
Maybe we need a Geek Squad to reboot, resync and calibration.
We can’t ask each other questions anymore like requests have lost all validation.
No access to comfort, the locks have evolved without notice; the keys and passwords are beyond expiration.
The little things understanding is thanks to security questions that never change.
We should’ve made the first one “Why did we fall in love?”
Maybe we’ve got a virus, plaguing our strong points
Exploiting our infrastructure leaving malware and spyware everywhere.
Clusters form in pathways and we are past the thought of working together.
Drives crash and sectors go abandoned, places we used to walk and talk, things we shared deleted.
We’ve began to carry loads bigger than we are capable, losing memory, too much to cache.
There is no more Maxwell, Anthony Hamilton… we wiped good times for a last ditch effort our primal stash.
The only music is dial-up tones,
The only scenery is blue screens;
Mother-fucking board failure.
